We are seeking a QC Source Inspector to support our aerospace programs through on site inspections at supplier facilities and incoming inspections at our own premises. 
This role plays a key part in ensuring that delivered hardware and accompanying documentation fully comply with contractual, drawing, and quality requirements before acceptance and integration. 
The position requires frequent travel to supplier sites and close collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. 

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 yearsof experience in aerospace quality inspection, source inspection, or supplier quality. 
  • Technical background in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines, or equivalent experience. 
  • Familiarity with AS/EN 9100, ECSS, or equivalent aerospace standards.
  • Experience with cleanroom or contamination‑controlled environments.
  • Quality certification (e.g. Certified Quality Inspector or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and travelers. 
  • Experience with traceability, configuration control, and inspection records. 
  • Knowledge of NCR / incident reporting processes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  • Strong attention to detail and objective judgment.
  • Ability to work independently at supplier sites.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities

1. Source Inspection at Suppliers 

  • Perform on‑site source inspections at supplier facilities at defined manufacturing or pre‑shipment stages.
  • Inspect aerospace hardware for conformance to: 
    • Engineering drawings and specifications
    • Purchase order and contractual requirements
    • Applicable aerospace quality standards

Verify configuration, identification, marking, and overall workmanship 

2. Documentation & Traveler Validation 

  • Review and validate manufacturing travelers / route cards, confirming: 
    • All required operations are completed and properly signed.
    • Inspection steps are executed and recorded.
    • Deviations, rework, or concessions are authorized and documented.
  • Ensure traveler execution is consistent with approved manufacturing processes.

 
3. Traceability & Material Control 

  • Verify fullmaterial, part, and process traceability, including: 
    • Raw material and component certificates
    • Lot, batch, and serial traceability through manufacturing
  • Confirm compliance forlife‑limited, shelf‑life, or usage‑limited items, including correct tracking, remaining life, and identification.

 
4. Procedure & Revision Control 

  • Verify suppliers are usingcurrent and approved revisionsof: 
    • Manufacturing and inspection procedures
    • Work instructions
    • Drawings and specifications
  • Confirm obsolete documentation is removed from use.

 
5. Cleanroom & Controlled Environment Oversight 

  • Verify compliance withcleanroom or controlled environment requirements, where applicable: 
    • Cleanliness class adherence
    • Personnel gowning and behavior
    • Proper handling and protection of hardware

 
6. Incoming Inspection Support 

  • Perform and supportincoming inspectionsat company facilities, including: 
    • Inspection of delivered hardware for conformance to drawings and specifications
    • Verification of accompanying documentation (CoC, inspection reports, traceability records)
    • Validation of life‑limited items and shelf‑life conditions upon receipt
  • Support segregation and disposition of non‑conforming material identified during receiving inspection.

 
7. Nonconformances & Quality Incidents 

  • Identify, document, and reportlower‑level nonconformances and quality incidents, including: 
    • Minor workmanship or documentation issues
    • Process execution deviations without confirmed product escape
  • Escalate issues beyond defined authority to Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering as required.

 
8. Reporting & Collaboration 

  • Prepare clear, accurate inspection and source visit reports. 
  • Communicate inspection status, risks, and issues to Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. 
  • Maintain professional working relationships with supplier personnel.
