Summary
We are looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician to support both sample preparation and testing activities within a highly regulated GMP/QC environment. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with analytical testing and documentation, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy both structured tasks and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vaccines and biological samples for testing (e.g., animal studies, serology)
- Perform laboratory tests (e.g., ELISA and related assays)
- Process and analyse samples, ensuring accurate recording of results
- Follow strict SOPs and GMP/QC procedures at all times
- Complete required documentation and ensure data integrity
- Support quality processes, including deviations and SOP updates

- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a structured, documentation-heavy environment
- Able to follow strict procedures and quality standards
- Analytical mindset with ability to understand testing processes and results
- Comfortable balancing hands-on lab work with administrative tasks
What you'll need to succeed:
- MLO / MBO 4, HBO (or similar) in Life Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related
- 0–3 years of laboratory experience, or strong practical lab affinity (internships also relevant)
- Experience with or exposure to laboratory techniques (e.g., ELISA, pipetting, sample handling) is a plus
- Affinity with working in a structured, regulated environment (GMP / QC)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in both lab work and documentation
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability in execution
- Willingness to learn and develop in a lab environment
- Good communication skills (Dutch and English) both oral and written
What this role offers:
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. In this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered. An extension after 12 months is expected. The gross monthly salary for this position (dependent on experience) can begin at €2600.
