Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Oversee quality checks, including raw material inspection, in-process testing, and finished product evaluations. Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and troubleshoot any deviations.
Maintain compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMPs, and internal company protocols. Participate in external and internal audits, ensuring the plant is always audit-ready.
Oversee and ensure accurate documentation of QC activities, including testing results, corrective actions, and non-conformance reports. Report findings to senior management and suggest improvements.
Lead initiatives to continuously improve food safety and product quality. Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Ensure all quality control processes are conducted following stringent hygiene and sanitation standards. Enforce proper use of safety equipment and protocols to minimize risks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in quality control within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs, USDA, FDA).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with quality control software and tools is a plus.
