Job Overview
The QA Tech at Garden of Flavor works closely with the QA Manager, Production Team and Maintenance department to ensure food safety and superior quality for all of our juices and energy elixirs. We are hiring an experienced Quality Assurance professional for the 3::00 p.m. to 11:00 pm shift with occasional weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a safe, sanitary, work environment dedicated to producing pure, organic cold-pressed juice.
Counting, inspecting, and taking accurate inventory of produce
Follow detailed instructions on swabbing and testing.
Reviewing reports relating to food safety and GMP’s
Handling Specific Sanitation Duties
Help with Safety and Employment Manual
Work with team to train production employees on food safety
Work with QA Manager adhere to SOP’s and follow HACCP Protocol as well as GMP’s.
Promote and model a clean, sanitary and safe work environment
Competencies, Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Read, write, and communicate verbally in English, Spanish speaking is a plus
Experience working in a food manufacturing facility at the least for three years
Experience working in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Sanitation Compliance
Self-directed, goal oriented, and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with a diverse group of employees across multiple functions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to create a strategy to implement continuous improvement initiatives
Strong computer skills
Has “whatever it takes” attitude
Self motivated as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift heavy products up to 35 pounds
Ability to work in cold environments
While performing the duties of the position, the work environment
Work in fluctuating temperature environments of refrigeration and non-refrigeration.
May be noisy due to juicing machines and other equipment.
