Job Title: Lab Assistant
Reports to: QC Lab Supervisor
Department: Lab
Location: Rockville Rd.
Level/Salary Range: $17.00 – $20.00/hr
Position Type: Full-time
Role and Responsibilities
Consistent testing of products in a specified manner
Maintain the lab and related equipment in a neat and organized manner
Make sure all samples are tested and logged
Communicate with the Supervisor on a consistent basis
Test and record all material samples, raw materials, blends, and finished goods, immediately reporting any results outside of the specified requirements
Maintain sample shelves
Ensure all samples are logged timely, accurately and are efficiently performed
Ensure that all sampling equipment is working within manufacturers specs
All other duties and tasks as may be directed from time to time by manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Entry level position with 0-3 years experience in lab environment
Time & Priority Management
Reading Comprehension
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills and abilities
Competent written and oral communication skills
Ability to lift sixty pounds
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, moisture, and dirty environments
Additional Notes
Attendance must be in good standing
