We are a fast-growing technology startup seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous manual testing. You will create comprehensive testing documentation—including test plans, test cases and related test artifacts—and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Manual Testing Execution – Execute manual tests for web and mobile applications to identify bugs, usability issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Validate functionality, integration and compatibility across different platforms and devices.
• Perform regression and exploratory testing to ensure the stability of software with every release.
• Testing Documentation – Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and related testing documents to guide quality assurance activities.
• Update documentation with new test scenarios and results as products evolve.
• Bug Identification and Reporting – Identify, document and prioritize defects using tools such as Jira or Trello.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes and ensure the resolution of bugs.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with product managers, project managers, developers and designers to understand project requirements and define testing strategies.
• Provide regular feedback on application usability, quality and overall user experience.
• Continuous Improvement – Contribute to the enhancement of test methodologies and QA best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve testing processes and techniques.
Qualifications Required Skills
• 4+ years of experience in manual software testing or quality assurance roles.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and common testing methodologies.
• Ability to design and execute effective test cases and comprehensive test plans.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms. • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
• Basic understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and modern web technologies.
• Exposure to basic scripting or programming concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
