Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester with a strong background in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance workflows, claims processing, and policy management, and will ensure the quality and accuracy of our applications through comprehensive manual testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and document manual test cases for new and existing features, ensuring software meets functional and business requirements.
Review and analyze system specifications, business requirements, and user stories within the Property and Casualty insurance domain.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand business processes and identify critical test scenarios.
Perform functional, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across various platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
Identify, track, and report defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) while working closely with development teams to resolve them.
Participate in test planning, test case design, and test data creation based on requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis of issues, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
Ensure proper test coverage of insurance products including underwriting, claims, policy management, billing, and reporting systems.
Work with automation testers to identify areas where manual testing can transition to automated scripts.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications:
9+ years of manual testing experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry is required.
Experience testing insurance systems (e.g., claims, policy, underwriting).
Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with SQL for querying databases and performing backend testing
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of insurance-specific software platforms
Familiarity with automation testing tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 – $52.00 per hour
