Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Quality & Training Technician for the Byron Center, MI Facility.
3rd Shift – Hours (11:00pm – 7:30am) $1/hour differential
4 weeks training on 1st Shift from 6:00am – 2:30pm
Quality & Training Technician Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality assessments on incoming materials and outgoing products.
- Perform regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Perform measuring/testing equipment calibrations.
- Facilitate new hire training.
- Train production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
- Develop training materials for various positions using different software platforms.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Quality & Training Technician Education & Experience
- Experience in quality assurance.
- Experience in training and development.
- Experience with inspection tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
Quality Technician Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
Quality Technician PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Light to moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
- Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
