Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay, Yankton, SD, is currently seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Supervisor responsible for Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, implements and maintains the quality system in accordance with company policy and industry quality standards. Assists in the development of quality standards and procedures to promote continuous improvement and supervises Quality Department employees.

Job Location:

This position is located on-site Yankton, SD. We are situated in Southeast South Dakota: on the banks of the Missouri River and minutes from Lewis and Clark Lake where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

What you will be doing:

Provides training and supervision for inspection, clerical, and technical personnel as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Assists in handling quality audits, both internal audits and outside audits such as ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949, ISO13485 and customer audits.
Prepares quality reports, including the customer returns, initial and final response time reports, open corrective action reports, supplier quality reports, MRB reports, and inspection time reports.
Assists Engineering and other groups in developing quality and performance standards for products manufactured by the facility.
Works with the Reliability Test Laboratory to establish product qualifications including internal, military and customer test programs.
Assists the quality team in completing both internal and customer related corrective actions.
Establishes and implements the product evaluation plan for the plant including inspection methods, sampling plans feedback information, quality levels, and defect classification.
Presides in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
Establishes and implements a comprehensive MSA program in accordance with internal and external quality standards.
Coordinates Customer Source Inspections.
Assists in gathering data and completing PPAPs per customer requirements.
Works with the operations team on order backlogs and priority lists.
Completes continuous improvement actions with the aid of the quality inspection personnel for their areas.
Occasional travel to other Vishay facilities to assist in audits and develop standard procedures may be needed.

What you will bring along:

Equivalent to completion of an undergraduate degree.
Requires excellent communication skills to effectively work with customers and company employees.
Knowledge of industry and military quality specifications including ISO-9001, IATF16949, AS9100.
Must be capable of becoming a certified Internal Auditor for ISO/IATF16949
Requires computer skills, including experience with WORD, ACCESS and EXCEL software.
Must have an understanding of statistical process control techniques used in manufacturing.
