REQUIREMENT
Shift Timing:Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Occasional overtime during the week and on Saturdays)
Summary:
The Quality Assurance Associate I plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of all products moving through the distribution center. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate material master data, verifying product dimensions and first-time receipts, managing batch information, confirming expiration dates, processing samples, overseeing material reworks, and performing other quality-related tasks as assigned. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Material Master Data Management: Maintain and update accurate material master data within the company’s system, ensuring data integrity for all products. This includes information such as product descriptions, specifications, storage requirements, and handling instructions.
• Product Dimensions and First-Time Receipts: Verify product dimensions and weights upon first receipt into the distribution center to ensure they match specifications. Report any discrepancies and assist with investigations as needed.
• Batch Maintenance: Manage batch records for incoming and outgoing products, including recording batch numbers, manufacturing dates, and other relevant information. Ensure proper traceability of products throughout the supply chain.
• Expiration Date Verification: Verify product expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stock to minimize expired inventory. Adhere to all relevant regulations and company policies regarding product expiration.
• Sample Processing: Collect and process product samples for quality testing according to established procedures. Maintain accurate records of all samples collected and their disposition.
• Material Reworks: Oversee the rework process for non-conforming materials, ensuring that all rework activities are performed according to established procedures and documented appropriately.
• Other Duties: Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager. This may include assisting with internal audits, investigating quality issues, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a quality assurance role within a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with inventory management systems and/or quality management systems preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs occasionally.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
