Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Analyst to support software testing, quality assurance, defect tracking, and release validation activities. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of software testing concepts, test case creation, defect reporting, and application quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business and functional requirements for testing.
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, product teams, and QA leads.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release.
- Support API, database, web, mobile, and application testing as required.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and quality updates.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and release testing.
- Ensure application quality, usability, reliability, and performance.
Required Skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA processes.
- Experience in manual testing, functional testing, regression testing, and defect tracking.
- Ability to write clear test cases and test scenarios.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries and database validation.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, or enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of UAT coordination and test data preparation.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant QA or software testing experience will be given strong preference.
