JOB DESCRIPTION-
In this role, we are seeking a QA who will work in a data engineering team verifying the data quality and having data governance responsibilities.
Mandatory Skills – SQL Databricks, python/pyspark, Functional testing, regression testing
Responsibilities
· Experience with SQL Queries.
· Azure experience required for navigating through Azure Portal for Databricks
· SQL databricks experience required for testing data quality
· Record and analyze test results, comparing them against expected outcomes to ensure high quality
· Verify tables/data/no of rows are correct
· Enhance and mature regression testing processes, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficiency
· Design and document detailed test plans for various projects
· Participate actively in an Agile development environment, contributing to daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
· Be available to address critical production issues, including after-hours support when necessary
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business information systems (IS), computer science or related field, or equivalent-related IT experience
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
· Proven experience in developing, executing, and documenting test cases, test plans, and test scripts
· Hands-on experience with functional, regression, and exploratory testing
· Experience with SQL and Azure
· Experience with API endpoint testing using tools like Postman
· Good understanding of automated testing frameworks (with the desire to develop further skills). Work experience in this area is a plus.
· Experience with Jira and Zephyr
