JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer (QE) is accountable to maintaining and improving the quality of Airo products, services, and merchandise. The QE is expected to investigates product quality concerns at our partners, supplier, retailers and with customers. The QE will focus on improving performance and quality by increasing focus on battery and cartridge performance and quality as well with our edible line. This role focuses on the inspection of marketing assets and control of associated rework and sorting operations, timely evaluation of CoAs from partners, timely evaluation of feedback received, and driving involvement and reporting from the Routine Producer Quality Check process.
General Job Description:
Implements controls to address quality risks with suppliers, partners, and internal functions.
Monitors data from customers, partners, sales personnel, and internal staff to evaluate product performance, detect failures, and identify improvements.
Investigates product quality concerns to determine cause(s) and implement actions to eliminate cause(s).
Performs failure analysis on hardware to evaluate reports of poor product performance.
Operates as quick response resource to investigate problems, audit partner processes, and implement solutions to problems.
Quality control oversight and inspection of marketing assets.
Responsibilities
Provide troubleshooting and field support for partners to resolve manufacturing process, hardware, and performance problems. Manage product quality evaluations performed by field personnel in over 25 states. Monitor customer perception of product quality, categorizing, evaluating, and reporting customer complaints and retail return trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Monitor and report performance of partner organizations to ensure required testing is performed and products satisfy quality specifications. Perform failure analysis on hardware and report evaluation results to identify and eliminate causes of performance problems. Investigate quality issues and implement quality controls at partner and supplier organizations to ensure product quality requirements are satisfied in the most effective and efficient manner.

Skills and Experience:
BS in Engineering preferred.
5-10 years’ experience managing quality for manufactured products in one or more of the following roles: Quality Manager; Quality Engineer; Quality Technician.
Managed quality of overseas suppliers.
Electromechanical hardware failure analysis.
Identifying root cause(s) of hardware performance problems.
Implementing solutions to quality problems at several remote locations.
Performing receiving inspection based on statistical sampling plans.
