Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans to verify product functionality and ensure quality.
Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing across various platforms and devices.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
Execute smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
Conduct compatibility testing to ensure software works across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies, providing updates on testing progress and results.
Continuously review, refine, and improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve overall product quality.
Monitor and report on key quality metrics to ensure products meet project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a QA Tester, Software Tester, or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Experience with manual testing as well as automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, report, and track defects accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present test results clearly.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with performance testing and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Experience in mobile testing (iOS, Android).
Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes and tools.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
