About The Role
EBG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic, performance-driven team. This role involves hands-on responsibilities in both automated and manual software testing and quality assurance to ensure that all aspects of our software solutions meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility. The successful candidate will develop, execute, and maintain test plans and scripts, collaborate closely with developers to provide continuous feedback, and support the overall quality assurance process. This position is primarily remote, but candidates must be located in Florida and able to travel to the Orlando office for the first day. The role demands a proactive individual with strong technical skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of real-world QA experience
- 3+ years of test automation experience
- Experience with Quality Management Software and processes
- Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs and using REST assured libraries
- Proficiency in coding with Java
- Experience with Selenium and TestNG frameworks
- Basic understanding of software design, development, and architecture
- Knowledge of Web Standards, Accessibility Standards, and browser compatibility
- Understanding of User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI) principles
- Experience working in deadline-driven environments
- Self-motivated, organized, logical, and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Passion for new technology and software
- Business process understanding
- Knowledge of MySQL, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, JSON, and API integration tools like POSTMAN or SOAP UI
Responsibilities
- Support regression testing of existing websites and applications
- Create comprehensive end-to-end test plans for projects, execute them, and manage all related activities to ensure objectives are met
- Test applications for functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with legacy and external systems
- Ensure all software features and phases are thoroughly tested, identifying and resolving issues before deployment
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using existing frameworks and tools
- Update automation scripts in response to evolving requirements
- Assist and mentor QA team members in test automation efforts
- Analyze requirements to produce manual and automated test cases
- Switch seamlessly between automation and manual testing tasks as needed
- Review bug fixes and system enhancements to verify expected results
- Collaborate with developers to provide continuous feedback during development cycles
- Estimate task timelines and track progress to meet deadlines
- Perform additional support tasks related to quality assurance as required
