Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (on-site)
Position Overview:
AX Pharmaceutical Corp is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Associate to join our Quality Department. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to start their careers in the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance for our products in the Canadian and US markets.
Key Responsibilities:
– Responsible for product release to Canadian and US markets
– Track and approve shipments being imported into Canada
– Review batch release and compliance documents
– Maintain supplier qualification documents and programs
– Initiate and manage change controls
– Oversee products being sent to the laboratory for testing and release (including stability programs)
– Update, draft, and maintain relevant SOPs
– Manage the environmental monitoring program
– Ensure compliance of equipment (balances, temperature probes, fridges, freezers, etc)
– Coordinate warehouse activities with incoming and release priorities
– Interact with suppliers to obtain manufacturing documents, stability reports, packing reports, CoA, etc.
– Maintain and update National Drug Code (NDC) and manufacturer registration logs
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
– University-level degree (B.Sc) or pharmacy discipline acceptable to Health Canada standards
– Up to 3 years of relevant experience within pharmaceutical industry (new graduates will be considered)
– Strong communication skills (written and oral)
– Proven problem solving ability with good judgment and decision-making skill
– Knowledge of cGMP, Food and Drugs Act, and regulatory requirements for the pharmaceutical industry
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
– Knowledge of quality management systems and tools used in the pharmaceutical industry. (e.g. deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA, change control)
