Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

As a QA Associate, you will support the control and management of documentation and processes related to the Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Health & Safety (H&S). You’ll work closely with the QSE Manager and cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Goods Inwards Inspection

✔ Perform incoming inspections on component parts for compliance with design and contractual specifications.

✔ Conduct visual inspections, manual measurements, and use OGP (Optical Gaging Product) inspection equipment.

✔ Maintain accurate inspection records and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) when required.

✔ Identify quality trends and recommend process improvements.

✔ Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams to resolve quality issues.

Calibration

✔ Ensure all measurement equipment is maintained and calibrated according to internal procedures.

✔ Maintain calibration records.

Quality & Compliance Support

✔ Maintain, update, and organize QMS, EMS, and H&S documentation.

✔ Assist in implementing and improving processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

✔ Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

✔ Coordinate corrective actions based on audit findings.

Training & Development

✔ Help organize and track internal/external employee training programs.

✔ Support onboarding and training of new employees to meet QMS standards.

Data Analysis & Reporting

✔ Analyze and report on quality metrics and trends.

✔ Ensure clear communication of QMS, EMS, and H&S procedures across departments.

Health & Safety & Environmental Management

✔ Support sustainability initiatives and waste management under ISO 14001.

✔ Coordinate COSHH processes and risk assessments.

Customer & Supplier Quality

✔ Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address quality concerns (including RMA’s).

✔ Ensure final goods inspection before shipping.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

✔ Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field

✔ 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering Support, preferably in manufacturing

✔ Strong understanding of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and industry standards

✔ Experience in Goods Inwards Inspection and ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 compliance

✔ Ability to read and interpret mechanical & technical drawings

✔ Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

✔ Documentation control experience under ISO standards

✔ Knowledge of SDS, COSHH, and risk assessments

✔ Internal & external auditing experience

✔ Continuous improvement mindset
