Quality Assurance Associate Jobs in Sanford, NC at Pfizer

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician who is detail-oriented and has significant experience inspecting products for defects and compliance to specifications and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of quality control procedures, production processes, problem identification, and problem solving.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform incoming inspection, maintain inspection and non-conformance logs
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
Ensure all applicable products flow through the QA lab
Administer the calibration system for production and laboratory measuring equipment and write calibration procedures for measuring equipment.
Perform internal manufacturing audits and drive non-conformances to completion
Conduct quality assurance testing on products and raw materials on the plant floor
Compile and examine statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability
Interpret engineering drawings or schematic diagrams, and confer with the engineering team to determine quality and reliability standards
Collaborate with production and supply chain departments
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining workplace organization
Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Associates degree, strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, having performed similar duties

Required Skills/Abilities:

Possess thorough knowledge of products and production processes along with statistical control procedures, design, and testing procedures
Experience using meteorology & test equipment (pull tester, calipers, micrometers, multimeter, harness tester, etc.)
Experience dealing with non-conformances and the corrective & preventive action process
Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
Ability to read engineering drawings
Works well with others and independently with minimal supervision
Good communication skills
Organized with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize tasks to business needs/priorities

Physical Requirements:

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
Prolonged periods standing and walking
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Salary:

$26-28 per hour, depending on quaslifications and experience
