About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Specialist to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.
This role is heavily focused on test automation, framework development, API testing, and CI/CD integration, with minimal emphasis on manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Build and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Develop and maintain regression, smoke, and integration test suites.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Newman, or RestAssured.
- Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Collaborate with developers to ensure early detection and resolution of defects.
- Analyze requirements and convert them into automated test scenarios.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing (including mobile/Android if required).
- Maintain test data, logs, and reporting dashboards for automation runs.
- Continuously improve test coverage, execution speed, and framework efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Strong experience with at least one automation framework:
- Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience in API testing tools: Postman / Newman / RestAssured.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of test reporting tools and debugging automation failures.
Good to Have
- Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with Docker / containerized test environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Experience in mobile automation (Appium for Android/iOS).
