About The Role

The Forms Quality Assurance Limited Term Employee plays a critical role within Pearson’s assessment and qualification division. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and quality of online assessments through rigorous testing and verification processes. The successful candidate will perform user acceptance testing and regression testing on various forms and tests, meticulously following detailed test cases to identify discrepancies and issues. The role involves verifying form functionality across multiple devices and platforms, ensuring that customer requirements are met and that the user experience remains seamless. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the FQA Admin Team and development groups, is essential to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of quality. This is a temporary position lasting approximately 4 to 6 months, ideal for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance within a dynamic, remote work environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard mobile device and computer operating systems
  • Proficient analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in identifying discrepancies
  • Ability to analyze, research, and communicate testing outcomes clearly
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adaptability to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities
  • Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed

Preferred qualifications include experience with project and test management tools such as Jira and Zephyr, software testing across various applications and platforms, understanding of SDLC testing models, and proficiency with MS Office 365 applications. Prior experience in interpreting software requirements and troubleshooting issues is also advantageous. A willingness to learn new testing techniques and technologies is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Perform user acceptance testing and regression testing on online forms and assessments
  • Follow detailed test cases to review and verify form functionality and settings
  • Ensure online forms operate correctly across multiple devices and platforms
  • Report bugs and issues using Zephyr and document testing outcomes
  • Research and analyze quality issues in testing and production environments
  • Prioritize work queues and manage testing schedules efficiently
  • Communicate delays or issues promptly to the FQA Admin Team with estimated timelines
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Assist other groups as workload demands shift
  • Complete training on verification processes, best practices, and system updates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and documenting recurring issues
  • Stay updated on system changes and their impacts on verification procedures
  • Work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines, including nights and weekends
