Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for large-scale Data Center projects. Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical installations, Life Safety systems, special systems, medium voltage systems, equipment, and materials to verify adherence to project specifications and quality standards as well as contractual obligations.
Understanding and coordinating with BIM Manager conduit systems.
Collaborate with project managers and field leadership to establish quality objectives, performance metrics, and inspection criteria. Maintaining daily QC and as-built documentation. Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Investigate non-conformities, deficiencies, and customer complaints, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
Verify all Submittal and RFI requirements are met. Review all project submittals and RFI’s for compliance with QC requirements.
Preparation and managing the punch list inspection and follow-up process to assure timely completion. Preparation of close-out documentation such as O&M manuals, as-built drawings & specifications, warranties, LEED documentation, etc.
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practices.
Conduct supplier evaluations and quality audits to ensure the quality and reliability of purchased materials and components.
Oversee and manage the calibration and maintenance of electrical testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to electrical systems and quality management. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
BAS BMS EPMS system controls
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation techniques
Understanding of BICSI TDMM
Full working knowledge of electrical testing equipment and inspection techniques
Understanding of BICSI TDMM (Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual)
Understanding of Fire Alarm systems NFPA 72
Understanding of Mass Communication systems and codes NFPA 72
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality management systems and processes
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory authorities
Proficiency in using quality management software, tools, and applications
Procore knowledge a plus
Navisworks knowledge a plus
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and expectations
Strong ability to complete due diligence and risk assessment
Impeccable integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders
Willing and able to travel to job sites as required
Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
Developing and Managing QA/QC programs for large construction projects in Mission Critical facilities
Investigating and analyzing quality-related issues and providing recommendations for corrective and preventative actions
Collaborating with a team on a dynamic and fast-paced project
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Quality Management, or related field experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control roles within the electrical contracting industry
Journeyman Electrician license preferred
Master Electrician license a plus
NICET certification a plus
BICSI certification a plus
BIM 360 knowledge a plus
OSHA 10, 30 or 500 a plus
Understanding of Mission Critical facilities
