Key Responsibilities:
Data Testing and Validation:
Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data-centric applications.
Perform data validation and verification to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across various systems.
Test data transformations, mappings, and integrations between multiple sources and targets.
Quality Assurance Process:
Implement and maintain QA processes and standards for data quality assurance activities.
Identify, document, and track data quality issues and defects using defect tracking tools.
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues promptly.
Automation and Tools:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
Utilize SQL queries and scripting languages to validate data sets and reports.
Recommend and implement tools and technologies to enhance data testing efficiency.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all data testing activities comply with healthcare regulations and data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
Stay updated with industry best practices, data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and emerging technologies in healthcare data.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed test reports, data quality dashboards, and analysis for stakeholders.
Document QA processes, test results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Communicate findings and insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaboration:
Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Participate in design and code reviews to provide a QA perspective.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in QA or data management are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data testing and quality assurance roles.
Proven experience in the healthcare domain , working with healthcare data and systems.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and testing.
Experience with ETL testing and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with data integration tools such as Informatica , Talend , or equivalent.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium , JUnit , TestNG ).
Understanding of data modeling, data flows, and data mapping techniques.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards and protocols (e.g., HL7 , FHIR ).
Compliance Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA , HITECH ).
Experience ensuring compliance in data handling and testing processes.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
