Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Automation Testing, ETL/Data Validation, and Financial Data Flow Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating complex data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across enterprise platforms, and developing scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems.
The role requires hands-on experience with data reconciliation, ETL/ELT validation, API automation, and cloud-based data platforms within Agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend data validation
- Perform end-to-end data reconciliation across source, transformation, and target systems
- Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouse outputs, and financial data flows
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data comparison, aggregation, reconciliation, and variance analysis
- Automate regression, integration, and functional test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform API testing and backend service validations using industry-standard tools
- Execute and monitor Airflow DAGs for workflow validation and testing support
- Identify, log, track, and troubleshoot defects while performing root cause analysis
- Collaborate with Developers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across enterprise systems and integrations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Advanced SQL expertise with strong data analysis and validation capabilities
- Experience in ETL/Data Testing and Data Warehousing concepts
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured
- Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms including BigQuery, Snowflake, or Azure Data Services
- Experience executing and validating Apache Airflow DAGs
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial or accounting data validation processes
- Exposure to SAP, OneStream, or other ERP platforms
- Retail, Banking, or Finance domain experience
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and governance practices
