QA Automation Engineer – Playwright & Test Automation
Location: Flexible / Hybrid
Our client is developing advanced autonomous drone technology to enable reliable, scalable, and intelligent aerial operations. As we continue to expand our software capabilities, we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products through modern automated testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright.
- Create automated end-to-end, integration, regression, and API tests.
- Develop test plans and test strategies for new product features.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Investigate, reproduce, and document software defects while working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor test execution, analyse results, and drive improvements to software quality.
- Perform exploratory and manual testing where automation is not appropriate.
- Help define QA best practices, testing standards, and automation strategies across the engineering team.
- Contribute to improving software reliability, performance, and overall user experience.
Requirements
- Commercial experience in Software Quality Assurance or Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience testing web-based applications and distributed software systems.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience testing embedded, robotics, autonomous systems, or drone software is a plus
