In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks that integrate directly into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and reliability before each release. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated test from scratch.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Develop and execute automation scripts for functional, regression, API, and performance testing using scripting languages (Python).
- Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to enable fast and continuous feedback.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis on production and testing environment failures.
- Perform Manual testing as needed, especially for exploratory and ad-hoc scenarios.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
- Hands-on experience developing test automation scripts using tools like Selenium.
- Experience implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Behave or Pytest BDD plugin) to write tests in plain language (Gherkin).
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting language (Python preferred).
- Experience with API testing using frameworks like Pytest to cover backend services and knowledge of testing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile/Scrum).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance and security testing tools.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
