Automation QA Engineer (Based in Charlotte, NC Market)
Full-time opportunity with a fast-growing QA/testing firm supporting a mix of startups and enterprise clients across multiple industries.
This team is looking for an Automation QA Engineer with experience in Playwright (JS/TS) who can operate in a fast-paced, multi-client environment. You’ll be working across UI, API, and CI/CD workflows, partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases. AI driven testing initiatives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and maintaining automated test frameworks (Playwright)
- API testing + mocking
- Front-end/UI test automation
- CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions)
- Supporting deployments (Docker)
- Driving test coverage + quality improvements across teams
- AI interest and experience (claude Code, Cursor etc)
What they’re looking for:
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript + Playwright
- Exposure to API + database testing
- Comfortable learning new tools quickly
- Experience with automation in agile environments
Comp:
- $80K–$95K base + benefits
- Full-time
