Role Overview
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with strong Travel Domain experience to join an agile, multi-disciplinary team focused on the quality assurance of our proprietary travel platforms. You will write and perform both automated and manual tests to ensure our software meets all quality standards and functional requirements. In this pivotal role, you will employ best practices to drive high standards in testing and documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Design, write, and maintain clean, high-quality automated scripts to test product functionality and performance.
- Guide and mentor the existing QA team as they transition from manual testing toward automation.
- Help define an automated test strategy adhering to industry best practices and QA methodologies.
- Execute all levels of testing, including integration, system, acceptance, exploratory, and regression.
- Detect, triage, and manage software defects through to resolution.
- Conduct smoke tests on production releases.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience testing travel platforms (Air, Hotel, Car Rental)
- Strong understanding of: Booking lifecycle (search → select → book → ticket → cancel)
- Pricing, fare rules, and availability logic
- PNR (Passenger Name Record) concepts
- Experience working with **GDS systems such as Amadeus GDS, Sabre GDS, or Travelport GDS is highly preferred
- 5–7+ years of QA Automation experience in Agile environments
Strong hands-on experience with:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright
- Experience testing REST APIs (Postman, REST clients)
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and web application architecture
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar)
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Engagement Type: W2 / 1099 (No C2C)
