Quality Assurance & Control Engineer | Energy & Infrastructure

📍 Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

A leading EPC organization focused on power delivery and energy infrastructure is seeking a Quality Assurance & Control Engineer to support utility-scale substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across North America.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong quality background who enjoys working across engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure complex infrastructure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Project Quality Management Plans (QMPs).
  • Create and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Perform site inspections, quality audits, and field assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through resolution and verification.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and audit reports.
  • Prepare quality performance metrics and reports for project stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams throughout project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within EPC, utility, construction, power delivery, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and inspection processes.
  • Experience supporting engineered equipment manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001, IEEE, NEC, ASTM, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform field inspections and quality audits in active construction environments.
