A growing company in Suffolk County, NY, is looking to expand its Quality Department. With a presence in the food distribution and retail sectors, this company is seeking an individual to help uphold high standards of product quality and safety. Job Details
Salary: $52,000 – $72,800 per year
Shift: First
Work hours: 3:30 AM – 12 PM
Education: High School
Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure the quality of raw meats during processing, including checking in-process cutting of raw meats and verifying sample sizes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, procedures, and compliance with quality standards.
Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in all phases of production.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP plans to ensure food safety.
Conduct routine tests to ensure product quality and safety, including sample analysis.
Provide training to staff on quality procedures and GMP/SOP guidelines to ensure consistency across the department.
Identify and address any quality issues or deviations from standards and work with the team to resolve them.
