SENIOR MANAGER, QUALITY AND TERMINOLOGY

The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) represents more than 116,000 credentialed nutrition and dietetics practitioners, as the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals whose expertise provides essential support for those with specialty nutrition needs and those seeking better health through nutrition. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a Senior Manager, Quality and Terminology to work in CDR.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Quality, Standards and Interoperability, the Senior Manager, Quality and Terminology is responsible for overseeing the Nutrition Care Process content, of which the Global Malnutrition Composite Score (GMCS) will be a priority.

This critical work-from-home position has core responsibility for the following:

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Terminology for the GMCS for use by credentialed practitioners.
Review, map, and submit terms to medical terminologies SNOMED CT and LOINC and maintains value sets through the VSAC.
Attend CMS and other stakeholder meetings and support GMCS efforts as assigned.
Manages the Nutrition Care Process/Terminology content revisions.
Participate in and support commissioner, committee or task force meetings as assigned, including the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology Committee (and association subcommittees), SNOMED Clinical Reference Group, Interoperability and Standards Committee, and Quality Management Committee.
Develop resources and answer credentialed practitioner questions regarding the GMCS, terminology, interoperability and other quality initiatives.
Provide answers to credentialed practitioner questions regarding the NCP content, Standards and Terminology and manage the creation of educational materials for credentialed nutrition and dietetics practitioners on NCP, Standards and Terminology-related initiatives.
Requirements:
Master’s degree required, preferably MBA, Science, Food and Nutrition, Public Health, Health Administration, Quality Assurance, Resource Management or related fields
RDN Preferred
SNOMED Level 1 Authoring Certification required within 2 years of hire
5-7 years of relevant work experience required
Excellent analytical skills, and knowledge of skills needed to research, solicit, and analyze nutrition and dietetics practice required.
Strong time management and organizational skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team is required
5-10% Travel Required
About Us:

The Academy offers a competitive starting salary range from $72,000 to $75,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as an excellent benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, LTD, tuition reimbursement and 401k match with IMMEDIATE VESTING!
