Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Mid-Level QA Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should be capable of ensuring high product quality through structured testing practices, developing automated test scripts, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manual Testing
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases
Automation Testing
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts
- Work with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Improve test coverage and reduce manual effort through automation
- Debug and maintain existing automation suites
Collaboration & Process
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Contribute to test planning and estimation
- Ensure quality standards and best practices are followed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in manual software testing and up to 1 year in automation testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool:
- Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / similar
- Basic programming/scripting knowledge (Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST APIs)
- Knowledge of test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Experience of Git/version control
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
- Experience in cross-browser and responsive testing
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
