Assurance Engineer – Aerospace Industry
Location: Wichita, KS
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $20-$25/hr. (BOE)
Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow in the aerospace industry? We’re searching for a detail-oriented professional to join our team and help maintain the highest quality standards in manufacturing. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, conducting inspections, and training production teams to meet customer requirements.
What You’ll Do:
Perform first article inspections (FAI) on machined parts using precision tools like micrometers and calipers.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and planning documents for accuracy and compliance.
Train quality and production teams to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
Conduct assembly inspections, CMM inspections, and approve FAI reports.
Utilize conventional inspection tools and gauges (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, etc.)
Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain quality excellence
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in aerospace/aircraftquality inspection
Strong background in Quality Engineering and AS9100/QMS auditing
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
Familiarity with outside processing certifications and engineering drawings/models
Experience with Microsoft Office, CATIA/Enovia CAD
Basic understanding of CMM and CNC machining
Knowledge of Six Sigma, 8D, and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)
