Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a critical role in the maintenance and auditing of our AS9100 quality management system (QMS). The ideal candidate should have significant experience maintaining an AS9100 quality system, experience dealing with government customers, like the DCMA, and managing quality flow-downs.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage company quality system documents, metrics, and procedures
Manage internal audits, training, and external quality consultants
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection
Ability to generate FAIR documentation for customer deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procedures accurately reflect business practices
Oversee any internal and/or supplier corrective actions, and supplier on-site Quality visits
Maintain AS9100 Certification and update on all new quality requirements
Maintain and organize all company procedural documentation
Train and guide other employees on the basics of quality control and assurance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 5 years of experience in a quality position or a related role.
Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements and government quality flow downs
Proficiency in using quality-related software. Experience with Solid Works PDM or related configuration software a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify potential risks and liabilities.
Experience working with the Federal Government, Department of Defense, and DCMA is a plus.
