Airswift is seeking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team, supporting engineering and design operations to work on a 1-year contract basis with a major Oil & Gas client in Calgary, Alberta.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid technical foundation and a few years of hands-on experience who’s ready to step into a more autonomous, impactful role.

About the Role

This position sits at the intersection of quality, engineering, and operational coordination. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that processes run smoothly, quality standards are maintained, and project teams are supported with strong administrative and technical oversight.

We’re not looking for someone too junior—but also not a senior leader. The ideal candidate is someone who understands design environments, has practical experience, and enjoys keeping systems, data, and teams aligned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across ongoing projects
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day administrative and operational coordination within the team
  • Monitor processes, documentation, and workflows to ensure quality and consistency
  • Track and report on quality metrics, compliance, and non-conformances
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and project teams to keep deliverables on track
  • Assist in implementing improvements to processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Act as a point of coordination for internal stakeholders and external parties when needed
  • Maintain accurate records and structured data within project systems
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance indifferent areas of work development and at various project Phases.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, or Technical Design environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Experience working in design, engineering, or technical office environments
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Practical mindset: detail-oriented, reliable, and solutions-driven
  • Comfortable managing data, processes, and coordination across multiple stakeholders
