Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Quality Assurance Engineer at DATAPATROL. The Quality Assurance Engineer will design, document, and execute test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of security-focused software products. Responsibilities include performing manual testing, logging and tracking defects, collaborating with developers and product managers to clarify requirements, and participating in test planning and review sessions. The role also involves creating and maintaining test documentation, contributing to regression testing, and helping improve QA processes, standards, and best practices. The Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure releases that meet customer and regulatory expectations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated testing activities.
Create and maintain test cases and test plans.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects.
Test client-server and agent-based solutions.
Work closely with Product, Development, and Support teams.
Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and automation.
Participate in shaping and strengthening the QA function
Education and Experience Requirements
Experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Knowledge of test automation tools and methodologies.
Experience with agent-based solutions is a strong plus.
Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Understanding Windows servers and virtualization environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with enterprise software products.
Familiarity with cybersecurity or endpoint management solutions
- Interest in helping develop and mature QA practices.
