Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support construction quality assurance and inspection activities on government construction projects. The selected candidate will conduct site surveillance, evaluate compliance with contract plans and specifications, prepare inspection reports, and provide technical support to Government personnel and the USACE Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform construction surveillance and quality inspections.
- Review construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Prepare inspection and surveillance reports.
- Identify deficiencies, changed conditions, and quality concerns, and provide recommendations.
- Support the development of inspection requirements, quality control methods, and change order documentation.
- Assist Government personnel with project quality assurance activities and contract modifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in construction quality assurance, inspection, commissioning, or related engineering fields.
- Ability to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting Federal, Military, USACE, or Government construction projects is preferred.
Specialized Experience
Candidates must have experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Medical Gases (NFPA 99)
- Life Safety (NFPA 101)
- Electrical Systems (NFPA 70)
- Plumbing (IPC)
- Fire Protection (NFPA 13 & 72)
- HVAC/TAB (ASHRAE, AABC, NEBB)
- Building Commissioning
- Communications & Security Systems
- Biomedical Equipment Systems
- Transport/Facility Equipment Systems
- Dredging
- Welding Inspection
- Painting & Metallizing Inspection
- Environmental/HAZWOPER
- Airfield Paving & Concrete
