Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Company: TechNET IT Recruitment Ltd
Location: Poland
QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) | Playwright | TypeScript | Poland | Contract
TechNET has partnered with a leading UK financial services technology organisation supporting a network of 1,500+ businesses and advisers, to recruit a QA Engineer for their growing product engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional who enjoys a genuine mix of hands-on manual testing and test automation. The business isn't looking for someone who wants to automate 100% of their day, they're looking for an engineer who enjoys ensuring quality across the entire software development lifecycle and is happy switching between exploratory testing, regression testing and building automation where it adds value.
You'll join an Agile product team working on a modern, cloud-based web platform alongside Software Engineers, Product Owners, DevOps and Data specialists.
What you'll be doing
- Execute manual, exploratory, regression and end-to-end testing across a large web-based platform.
- Design, build and maintain automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Identify, investigate and document software defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to improve software quality from planning through to release.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases and supporting documentation.
- Champion quality throughout the SDLC and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What we're looking for
- Around 2+ years' commercial QA experience.
- Strong manual testing experience with exposure to automation.
- Commercial experience with Playwright (or similar modern automation frameworks).
- TypeScript experience is highly desirable.
- Experience testing modern web applications.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and SQL would be beneficial.
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach with excellent communication skills.
Why apply?
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where quality is genuinely valued. You'll have the chance to continue developing your automation skills while remaining involved in hands-on testing, working with modern technologies and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software used across the UK financial services sector.
If you're looking for a balanced QA role where both manual testing and automation are equally important, we'd love to hear from you.
