About The Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Snapsheet, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative claims management products. You will be responsible for building and maintaining test systems and processes that enhance current testing frameworks and proactively prevent issues. Working in a fast-paced, agile environment, you will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and designers to identify potential quality issues through comprehensive system and acceptance testing. Your efforts will directly contribute to accelerating product delivery while maintaining high standards of quality as the company's offerings expand. You will own and refine Snapsheet’s customer-focused testing strategies, support specific products, and develop automation tools to ensure confidence in our testing processes. This role requires a proactive mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Ruby and JavaScript
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub
  • Knowledge of test management tools including Zephyr and TestRail
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Experience testing web-based products and mobile applications
  • Strong self-motivation and initiative with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with non-functional testing tools such as JMeter or Grafana k6 (preferred)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and AWS Cloud infrastructure (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review and comprehend product specifications and feature requirements to develop effective testing strategies
  • Define, refine, and implement comprehensive testing plans for engineering teams
  • Own and maintain testing tools and infrastructure, researching and integrating new technologies for quality assessment and automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites in collaboration with developers and product managers
  • Create, document, and update functional and regression test cases and related artifacts
  • Execute various types of testing including new feature releases, feature enhancements, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Track and analyze test results, report defects, and verify defect fixes through issue triage and resolution processes
  • Identify potential quality issues early and escalate them to relevant teams and management
  • Provide detailed QA reports on test and defect statuses to stakeholders
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to functional, design, and technical specifications
  • Perform non-functional testing such as load, stress, and accessibility testing to evaluate system performance and compliance
  • Stay updated on emerging testing tools and strategies to continuously elevate quality standards
