Overview
A long-established engineering services provider is seeking an Electrical QAQC Engineer to support electrical quality management across major European projects. The organisation offers competitive pay, strong development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will ensure electrical works and equipment meet required standards and client specifications. Working within the QAQC team, you will carry out inspections, manage documentation and collaborate closely with project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project quality databases for client handover.
- Review benchmarks and First-of-Kind installations.
- Complete test packs using quality management software.
- Liaise with QA Lead on system handover requirements.
- Coordinate walkdowns, handover dates and snag lists with construction teams.
- Review installations for compliance with project quality plans and standards.
- Oversee third-party inspections and subcontractor quality performance.
- Conduct regular site walkdowns and inspections.
- Provide support across sites in Ireland and mainland Europe.
- Attend quality meetings and report as required.
Skills and Requirements
- Relevant electrical or quality qualification.
- Electrical trade background (advantageous).
- Minimum three year’s experience in a similar role (desirable).
- Fluent English.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; quality software experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
