The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality software within modern Agile development teams.
This role would suit someone who enjoys both manual and automation testing and takes ownership of software quality throughout the full development lifecycle. Working alongside Software Engineers, Product Owners and fellow QA professionals, you will contribute to the delivery of enterprise SaaS applications used by global customers.
You'll be joining a highly skilled engineering team where quality is embedded into every stage of development, giving you the opportunity to influence processes, improve testing practices and help deliver reliable, scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases.
- Build and maintain automated regression test suites using modern testing frameworks.
- Perform functional, exploratory, regression and release testing.
- Analyse requirements and user stories to identify test scenarios, risks and edge cases.
- Work closely with developers to resolve defects and improve overall product quality.
- Validate application data using SQL queries where required.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives.
- Provide accurate reporting on testing progress, quality metrics and release readiness.
- Promote QA best practices and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and mentor junior members of the engineering team where appropriate.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience within Software Quality Assurance in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
- Strong background in both manual and automated testing.
- Experience using automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright or equivalent.
- Ability to create detailed test plans, test strategies and test cases.
- Experience validating backend data using SQL.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD and test management platforms.
- Previous experience working within Agile/Scrum software development teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document defects and testing outcomes.
Nice to Have
- API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
- Exposure to C#/.NET applications.
- Understanding of React-based web applications.
- Experience with performance, load or stress testing.
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology.
- Interest in AI-assisted software testing and modern QA tooling.
- Experience mentoring colleagues or contributing to technical knowledge sharing.
