Overview: Our partner in Birmingham, AL is searching for a QA Engineer experienced with automated testing tools. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and team player with a passion for quality assurance and a strong background in automated testing. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Work with the development team on estimation, prioritization, planning, and coordinating testing activities and solutions.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Design and develop testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Define the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery.
Identify test cases suitable for automation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Computer Science or a Business-related field.
5+ years of demonstrated automated testing experience with tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, and API Testing.
Test Lead experience preferred.
Technology Experience: Software Development, CI/CD Tools, SQL/Oracle, Agile and/or Waterfall, C# or Java.
Hands-on coding experience in Java.
Experience with Java, Tosca, Selenium, swagger, REST APIs, Angular JS, Jenkins, UCD, React, Bitbucket, and QA Tools (Functional, Performance, Test Management tools).
Bilingual in Spanish (able to read and respond to messages).
QA Experience in a formal QMO or QA environment.
Experience working with formal test plans and tracking/reporting defects.
Experience building automation suites using Selenium (JAVA) and TOSCA.
Agile experience (Web and Mobile) preferred.
Ability to test applications under tight deadlines.
Prefer performance testing and security testing knowledge.
Skills & Experience:
Solution finder and problem solver.
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.
Experience handling day-to-day decisions without guidance, including initiating action without prompting and working independently when required.
Passion towards the role.
Self-starter and team player.
