Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain integration tests across microservices, MongoDB, and Kafka.
Develop and maintain REST API test suites covering functional, negative, boundary, and error-handling scenarios.
Implement BDD-based API and integration testing using Karate, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
Develop and maintain consumer-provider contract tests using tools such as Pact.
Create and maintain UI automation frameworks for Angular applications using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Appium where applicable.
Integrate integration, API, UI, BDD, and contract test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
Design and manage test data strategies for MongoDB and Kafka.
Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Business teams to execute automated tests in Kubernetes and Docker environments.
Promote QA best practices, test automation standards, and BDD adoption across multidisciplinary teams.
Translate business requirements into comprehensive and maintainable automated test scenarios.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer working with microservices and distributed systems.
Strong experience with integration testing and REST API testing using C#/.NET (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, HttpClient, RestSharp) and/or Postman + Newman.
Hands-on experience with Karate DSL, Cucumber/SpecFlow, and Gherkin for BDD and API testing.
Experience with consumer-provider contract testing using Pact or similar tools.
Experience with at least one UI automation stack:
Java + Selenium WebDriver (POM, JUnit/TestNG, Selenium Grid).
Playwright + TypeScript (SPA/Angular, multi-browser, fixtures, request interception).
Appium for mobile/hybrid automation.
Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, and/or C#/.NET for test automation.
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Git/Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows environments.
Solid knowledge of MongoDB, Kafka, and test data management.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC/STLC, testing pyramid, automation design patterns (POM, Screenplay), and BDD principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to identify edge cases and failure scenarios.

Hybrid in Lisbon- 2x week
