We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a 4 month contract position at one of our clients located in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting failure analysis of Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) devices.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities)
Develop and administer reliability testing, including environmental testing.
Conduct failure analysis of Micro-Electromechanical System (MEMS) devices.
Perform complex reliability and failure analysis (FMEA, FMECA, MTBF)
Document root cause analysis and corrective actions in appropriate formats and prepare all required reports.
Perform internal and external Quality audits.
Communicate with customers verbally and in writing on a technical level to discuss reliability and failure issues.
Create qualification plans in accordance with known AEC and TS16949 standards and driving them through the New Product Introduction process.
Support new product design activities including design review.
Work closely with production to reduce scrap levels.
Work with engineering and production departments to developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
May require infrequent travel.
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering experience or equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline or related field (or high school diploma/GED and 6 years experience in QA Reliability Engineering)
Minimum 2 years experience working with ISO9000 Quality standards or equivalent.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Powerpoint & Excel and statistical applications such as MiniTab.
