The Role
- Conduct comprehensive testing of professional audio software products within integrated systems including studio monitors, audio interfaces, and network components.
- Build, maintain, and meticulously document test setups.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test reports, actively contributing to the definition of quality criteria.
- Analyze, reproduce, and prioritize complex issues across all system components.
- Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and DSP developers, providing support in defect analysis.
- Implement automated test routines and contribute to the evolution of CI/CD test pipelines.
- Play an active role in establishing a professional test laboratory and shaping sustainable testing processes.
- Guide the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final customer product.
What You'll Need
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- Proven experience in testing technical systems or software, both manually and automated.
- Familiarity with professional audio hardware or software and a strong interest in professional audio technology.
- Enjoy working with real hardware setups and studio environments, with enthusiasm for cabling, network configuration, and building test environments.
- Ability to systematically analyze, reproduce, and precisely document complex issues.
- Fundamental understanding of software development and basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for test automation.
- Excellent German and English language skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and a self-organized, structured approach to work.
- Experience with relevant technical tools and technologies including network protocols/Audio over IP or embedded systems, analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, log parsers, audio measurement software), and test management or CI/CD platforms like Azure DevOps.
