Job Summary
The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and correctness of the platform across all layers — from backend logic to frontend user experience.
This role combines manual testing and an automation mindset, ensuring that:
- features work as intended
- complex logic is validated
- bugs are caught before release
The position is critical in a product where:
- financial logic must be accurate
- user experience must be smooth
- system behavior must be consistent
The QA Engineer is expected to take full ownership of quality, working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure clean, stable, and production-ready releases.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
1. End-to-End Testing
- Test complete product flows (not just individual components)
- Validate functionality across:
- frontend
- backend
- APIs
- Ensure features behave correctly under real usage scenarios
2. Test Case Design & Execution
- Design structured test cases for each feature
- Cover:
- normal scenarios
- edge cases
- failure conditions
- Execute tests before each release
3. Regression Testing
- Ensure new changes do not break existing functionality
- Maintain and update regression test suites
4. Bug Identification & Reporting
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly
- Provide detailed reproduction steps
- Work closely with engineers to resolve issues
5. Automation
- Identify repetitive tests suitable for automation
- Contribute to building automated test suites
- Support long-term test automation strategy
6. Data & Logic Validation
- Validate financial calculations and logic outputs
- Ensure consistency between:
- backend logic
- frontend display
- Detect discrepancies in calculations or data flows
7. Performance & Stability Awareness
- Identify performance issues from a testing perspective
- Validate system behavior under different conditions
8. Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Backend engineers
- Frontend engineers
- Product Manager
- Ensure clear understanding of requirements before testing
9. Release Readiness
- Ensure features meet quality standards before release
- Provide final validation and sign-off for deployments
