HealthTrack builds practice management and clinical software for specialist healthcare practices across Australia and New Zealand. We're Queensland based, have been going since 2001, and are trusted by major health providers across the public and private sectors. Because our software supports patient care and handles sensitive health data, quality matters here. We're looking for a QA engineer to join our small engineering team and help us deliver reliable, high-quality software. Whether you're early in your QA career or bring solid experience, we'd like to hear from you, we're open on level and will shape the role around the right person.
About the role
You'll be embedded in an agile squad working alongside our developers across our React based product and several .NET projects. The mix of hands-on testing and automation will depend on your level, from learning Playwright as you go, through to owning and building out our automation and regression testing suites.
What you'll do
- Test new features against acceptance criteria across our React and .NET products
- Functional, regression, and exploratory testing across the stack
- Write clear, reproducible, well prioritised bug reports
- Help refine acceptance criteria and raise quality risks early
- Take part in sprint ceremonies and planning
- Work with Playwright automation, from learning it through to owning our suite, depending on your experience
What we're looking for
- A sharp testing instinct and a "break it" mindset
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication
- A good understanding of how quality fits into agile delivery
- Comfortable working closely with developers and being a strong voice for quality
Nice to have
- Coding aptitude, or existing coding skills, in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Hands on experience with test automation (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
- Experience working with regression testing software
- ISTQB certification or similar
- Exposure to healthcare or other regulated software domains
