Our product automates AP, AR, reconciliation, approvals, and related finance workflows on top of the systems companies already use, including ERPs like NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, and Sage. We are AI-first and focused on operational reliability in high-trust financial workflows.
Role Description
We are looking for a full-time remote QA Engineer based in India to own quality across the product. This is our first QA hire, so the role is broad: hands-on manual testing, test planning, regression coverage, release confidence, defect triage, and practical automation over time. You will work closely with the founders and engineering team to validate new features, break complex workflows before customers do, and improve the overall quality bar. Over time, the role may also include fixing smaller bugs directly when that is the fastest path to improving quality.
What You’ll Do
- Own QA across the full product: frontend, backend workflows, integrations, and releases
- Manually test core accounting workflows across AP, AR, reconciliation, approvals, and exception handling
- Create test plans, regression suites, and clear release signoff criteria
- Identify, document, reproduce, and verify software defects
- Test AI-driven workflows carefully, including extraction, matching, review loops, and failure cases
- Validate async workflows, background jobs, retries, and integration edge cases
- Build practical automation for high-value paths over time
- Work closely with engineering to isolate root causes and improve overall product reliability
- Fix smaller bugs directly when appropriate
Qualifications
- Strong manual QA skills, including exploratory testing, test planning, and regression testing
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles and software testing practices
- Experience identifying, documenting, and validating software defects in a way that is useful to engineers
- Ability to think through workflow-heavy products, edge cases, and failure scenarios in detail
- Comfortable testing APIs, integrations, and asynchronous systems, not just UI flows
- Familiarity with software development life cycles and release processes
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity and ownership
- Interest in both manual QA and automation
- Comfortable reading code and ideally making small fixes when needed
- Experience with B2B SaaS, fintech, workflow products, or ERP-connected systems is a plus
- Accounting, finance, ERP, AP, AR, or reconciliation domain experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
