Chadrick Professional Services is hiring two Manual QA Engineers to support next‑generation connected technology initiatives. About the Role
You’ll join an innovative engineering team working on large‑scale, connected systems and in‑office hardware. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep functional testing, system‑level thinking, and generating smart test ideas—including using AI/prompting to uncover edge cases.
This is a fully onsite role in Plano, TX and requires W2 employment only.
What You’ll Do
- Create, execute, and maintain manual functional test cases for complex, multi‑service systems
- Translate user stories into clear test scenarios and provide feedback on testability
- Perform hands‑on, hardware‑based testing on connected vehicle devices in the office
- Partner with Product Owners and Developers to document, triage, and track defects within a Scrum workflow
- Execute test suites, verify fixes, and update results for release readiness
- Collaborate with automation engineers to run and update automation scripts when needed
What You Bring
- 3+ years of manual software testing experience
- Strong AI/prompting skills for generating test scenarios, edge cases, and exploratory ideas
- Experience with test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail, TestLink, qTest, etc.)
- API testing experience (REST, RPC)
- Hardware UI or device‑based testing experience
- Solid understanding of Jira for traceability and documentation
- Linux experience (one opening requires deeper Linux proficiency)
- A creative, end‑user‑focused testing mindset and passion for manual QA
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Rust, Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD
- Mobile app testing experience
- Software development background
