Job Overview
This position provides the Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Quality Assurance Engineers with data identifying emerging problems at customer mine sites. The role involves organizing and documenting data, recommending further actions, and managing the recall of necessary parts. The candidate will develop and obtain approval for FC type – Field Campaigns and coordinate with the Service Organization for implementation. Additionally, they will prepare failed parts for analysis, coordinate with suppliers and third-party labs, and follow up until root causes are identified.
Key Job Responsibilities
Investigate, analyze, and develop plans to address design, quality, performance, and reliability issues for PMO manufactured products, including coding  TSI and 60-80 ETSI annually.
Oversee annual recall and follow-up of 300-500 failed parts globally.
Develop and present FC type Field Campaigns for approval (40-50 annually).
Ship failed parts to suppliers and third-party labs for failure analysis and follow up on results.
Review and analyze TSI and ETSI submissions for Peoria manufactured machines, organize data, and recommend future actions.
Issue recalls and coordinate the return of failed parts based on TSI/ETSI analysis.
Participate in the CEC Committee, review engineering design releases, and recommend QA countermeasures, scrap, and rework strategies.
Develop QA orders for campaigns and modifications, ensuring proper approvals.
Assist in implementing industry standards like ISO
14000, ISO
9000, including internal auditing.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical); experience in engineering, manufacturing, or service is a plus.
Knowledge of construction and mining equipment; familiarity with Komatsu products preferred.
Understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices and standards.
Effective communication skills and ability to interface across all employee levels.
Excellent presentation and writing skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Additional Information
Hiring Range: $79,000 – $99,000, based on experience and education.
