Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive manual and automated testing of insurance and broker-related applications to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
– Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
– Collaborate closely with development and project Management teams to understand application functionality and provide feedback on design and implementation.
– Utilize scripting languages to automate test processes and improve testing efficiency.
– Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
– Participate in requirement analysis and design review meetings to provide input from a testing perspective.
– Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
– Ability to provide demonstration of functional areas to Business owners.
– Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to document and report testing activities clearly and concisely.
– A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and suggesting improvements.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in using automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium).
– Proficiency in scripting languages for test automation (e.g.Java).
– In-depth knowledge of insurance and broker-related applications.
– Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
– Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
– Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
– Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
– Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
– Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
– ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
