Axia Search is supporting our client in the recruitment of an experienced QA Engineer to join a collaborative and forward-thinking technology team.
This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of software quality, working closely with development teams, and continuously looking for smarter and more efficient ways to test.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, helping ensure quality remains a priority from initial development through to production release.
Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Creating and executing manual and automated test cases across functionality, usability, performance, and security.
✅ Investigating defects, documenting findings clearly, and providing developers with the information needed to resolve issues efficiently.
✅ Taking responsibility for reviewing and approving new code before it is released into production.
✅ Building and improving automated testing scripts, tools, and frameworks.
✅ Supporting the creation of test plans, testing strategies, and QA methodologies.
✅ Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify potential risks early.
✅ Reviewing existing testing processes and introducing new techniques that improve efficiency and software quality.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a QA Engineer position.
- Experience with test management platforms and automated testing.
- A strong understanding of software development and defect lifecycles.
- Familiarity with Agile working environments and regression testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time-management abilities.
- Currently based in Cyprus and able to attend the office as required.
